It is becoming increasingly concerning nowadays, that very few people are actually concerned with the state that humans have turned this planet into, and the general disregard of the severity of the situation in which we have found ourselves in, and with the general "It won't affect me in my lifetime" attitude in lots of circumstances it is no wonder that this planet is rapidly running out of resources, with little effort to safeguard for the future.
For just one moment, I would like you to think of all the items, in which you own, that rely on fossil fuels to work. Then think of everything that you own that used fossil fuels to create it. In a normal inner city house, this will equate to almost everything using up fossil fuels in its manufacture and for some things in their use (remember that roughly 1 tonne of C02 is given off for every tonne of concrete produced) meaning that in some buildings you will be letting off hundreds, or even thousands of tonnes of C02 during its construction process. Just briefly, look into the future and imagine how you will be able to survive without all of these resources. The likelyhood in this situation is that you will have to grow or catch your own food, and use natural materials to repair essential items. To me, this isn't a great problem, as I have numerous survival skills, and having twice completed the 10 Tors... Still being written!!
